Wanted Bally coin box (1980 flash gordon)

Forgive my breaking in, but I think that Bally cashboxes at the time had the lid slide on from one side, rather than towards the front of the machine. And (again as I recall), the front has a hinged carrying handle rather than a plain 'U' bracket spot-welded on.

Ipdb pictures rarely show much of the cashbox area, but a look at some Bally solid-state games shows no sign of a padlock clip on the crossmember behind the cashbox. A second look, at Embryon, has a picture with the cashbox fitted; the padlock clip and the slot in the lid are placed at the front right-hand corner. The lid has the three coin openings offset to the left. I wouldn't think that Embryon's width affected the cashbox, it's the same door.

I've managed to copy and paste said picture;

Not shown in the picture are plastic inner trays which keep different coins separate inside the cashbox. I'm not sure about all manufacturers, but Williams definitely used these, and (to my recollection) Bally.

the lids are a lot rarer than the boxes themselves,a lot of ops removed them and just used the tray,as sometimes the coins bounced on the metal lid and didn't end up in the tray,there was someone selling some bally trays on ebay the other week,not sure if they sold or not

Yeah saw those at the time but typical as didn't need it then and do now when they've gone 🙄

Dunno if this is what you are after. I can't remember what machine it came from and it is just sitting around in my garage doing nothing in particular.

Let me know if you want it...
