I've been reminded that I don't really like the neon tube lighting the backbox as on my newly-acquired Star Trek LE. It hums and doesn't look as good as WPC or Spike stuff.

I see that Cointaker make an interactive kit for about $270 ... Does anyone have experience with these - any good?

Any other options I should be considering?

Thanks

I had a version of it in my LOTR LE, it was like a rubber mesh that just hung down between boards and back glass, had leds in certain positions etc
I took it out and put an led tube back in there and was happier. Also wasn’t happy about it not letting air flow like it should.

@M4carp did you just swap out the tube for an LED version?? if so where did you get it from thinking of doing the same on my ACDC as it doesn't seem very bright.

Yes, did it for a few sterns. Was from eBay a while back and no longer available but there are other types out there that just fit in the same with a dummy starter.

Used a FF board in Mick On A Stick and was very happy - colour changing with remote control , flashers . Very fair price I thought when it’s easy to spend 50 quid on a piece of plastic in this insane hobby .

Edit - actually a bit pricier than when I bought from them 6 years ago, but what isn’t .
