Hi all,

This is going to make me seem like a numpty, but here goes ...

At the back right of the BoP playfield there are three lights (100k, 200K and 300K). The bulb has gone on the 300k. The playfield on BoP is one of the 'pivot' types rather than the lift and pull forward of later models. As a result of this, getting to the bulb holder to change the bulb is a complete nightmare as wherever you swing the playfield to, it's virtually impossible to reach and twist out unless you are Mr Skeleton Fingers.

Are you supposed to be able to get to them that way - or do you disassemble the brides helmet, then the mini playfield and then bend the whole 100k/200k/300k assembly forwards to get to it? That seems a bit brutal!

Thanks - Jon

I just responded on the yahoo group then read this. Raise playfield front 12" then you can just about reach the twist lock lamp holders. Not easy though.

Not very helpful, but when I was building up my playfield, I saw the pinbot sign and thought "hmmmm I better put some new bulbs in that now as I imagine it is next to impossible to get at the bulbs again without disassembling the playfield"

I imagine if you took off the helmet and loosened the mini playfield, you could possibly bend the sign forward a bit and get to the bulbs

Thanks for the replies.

I'm supposed to be working (!) but have just quickly popped and had a look. As suggested, I lifted the front of the playfield about 12" and used the lockdown bar to prop it up. I managed to get my hand down there and swap the bulb out!

Unfortunately, I've also just noticed that one of the rubbers on the playfield under the mini playfield has snapped - so I'm going to be disassembling that part of the machine anyway to get to that! Grrrrr!

Thanks all!

Hi mate
I remember those bulbs being a pig when I shopped mine. Stick 3 LEDs in there and never have to worry about it again!!
