So my Apollo 13 used to work in 13 ball multiball without issue, then issues intermittently started. Issues were only ever during 13 ball multiball and never on regular multiball. When this first started to happen, when the balls where lost out of play they would just sit under the apron and nothing would happen regarding reloading the balls into the trough VUK. The symptoms have since changed, the balls building up under the apron continues but also sometimes both flippers would stop working, sometimes it would put two/three balls into the shooter lane and not attempt to fire them out to the 8 ball trough, sometimes it would attempt to fire the two/three balls in the shooter lane into the 8 ball trough but with the excess of balls they wouldn’t get to the 8 ball trough, but if it did fire them more balls would be added to the shooter lane, could get five or six balls in there sometimes!
All very frustrating, when this first started happening as much as switch tests showed everything in the apron ball trough department was good I found a connector adrift for a ball trough switch.

Refitting this pin cured the issue at the time, but all is now not good again. I have checked all the switch inputs, all consistently show good, checked the trough mechanically, checked the apron ball release mechanism into the VUK that feeds the shooter lane, checked and replaced the optos in the VUK, checked and replaced the shooter lane switch, checked the 8 ball trough switch membrane, replaced the balls, all to no avail. When the flippers die there is still voltage onto the coils, they just don’t receive the ground to let them energise.
So in desperation in order that it can still be played to some degree, I turned off the 8 ball trough, changing the setting from yes to no.

Now the machine is working perfectly, including in 13 ball multiball! This seem the manual.

So now I’m happy, although VERY confused. I think I did a factory reset on it in once the issue was happening on every 13 ball multiball.
Does anyone have any ideas and could anyone check their adjustment 53 setting on their A13.
Chris.
