How can you spend 72h in a relatively remote clifftop car park without sleeping in the vehicle ?

No campsite nearby or hotel without their own ample parking. No toilets or similar facilities. Not free to roam like Scotland.20220702_154447.jpg20220702_154537.jpg

2 miles from me! You should check out Trenchers at Spanish City in Whitley Bay if you like your fish and chips

I had lunch there today for the first time !!!

I actually prefer Marshalls at Tynemouth

My dad owned a beef dripping chippy so I tend to scope out such places

Marshalls, agreed- if your here on your hols, spoilt for choice for nice eats and drinks. Hope the weather is better tomorrow, monsoon rain between sunny skies.

Love a bit of Di Meo’s- check out the Boat Yard if you’re going past Cullercoats bay- lovely brunch and excellent Tynemouth Coffee.

There is a caravan park right next door.

I wouldn't call this remote myself - its just off one of the main roads into Whitley Bay - we park here often when walking the dogs you can walk to the lighthouse from there - 10-20 mins.
(There are toilets in the car park next to the light house - but you have to pay for that one - the car park)

I didn't recognize the name of that place, but thought the lighthouse looked familiar. I was briefly in Whitley Bay earlier this year for the first time.
