After months of trying to sort an intermittent issue on my original board, was considering one of these before totally out of stock. However, been reading some bad things on an old Pinside thread, particularly about the sound quality.

With shipping and duty it's going to be near £500, so wanting to check beforehand if anyone here has experience of these and if worth it? Not sure if the sound issue has been resolved in later editions.... Ta.
 
Fitted one to an Elvira and the party monsters and sound was awful lots of things missing when I mentioned it to the Uk distributor he said he had never had an issue obviously not if you look at pinside
As above I would avoid rotten dog products at all costs
 
Thanks Chris, think that's made my mind up. Back to repair or sourcing a good original one day.

Never done this myself, but i'd assume its got something to do with the speech section as system 9 was still using the system 7 speech board and connector. Also getting any system 11 original cpu in nice condition isnt that easy these days.
