I haven’t found one on the internet, and our Caster’s Club lock ‘2’ insert light isn’t making a consistent connection.

We’ve tried changing the bulb and socket, and sanding gently on the metal connection, but nothing has worked.

We are at Pinfest on Saturday if anyone has one they’re happy to sell us.

Have you got a picture of what it looks like?

Is it like this?

If so, then all you need to do is apply new solder/reflow the existing solder on the sockets. Its dead easy.

Also check the pins (especially the edge ones) for cold solder joints. They often again just need a reflow and some new solder adding.

Yes, it's one of these, but five lights in two rows - rather than in one row. Jon (husband) didn't realise it was solder on the sockets, he thought it was bare metal, so kept sanding it to get rid of any corrosion/dirt.

If it's solder, we'll try reflowing it.

if anything else sanding would have made it worse as you'll be wearing it down further. Just reflow and add some solder. Job done.

Should be up and running in 5 minutes.

As mentioned, Re-flow the solder on the lamp bases and also the pins, Get one of those fibreglass pens and give the pins a buff up to remove corrosion, check any diodes... thats it really... Is like an MOT on those boards... :)
