Anyone got any Game Plan MPU 2 games?

I opened up my Vegas cocktail table and the ribbon cable for the display came off the CPU board.

There are no identifying markings and the documentation doesn't show a wiring diagram.

Does anyone know which way round the cable needs to go?

Thanks

Luke

@lukewells not good news I'm afraid :( Cyclopes doesn't use a ribbon cable for it's displays, it's an edge connector on the board (the black one) to edge connectors on each display.

Usually there is a red stripe on the ribbon designating pin 1. If that is on pin 1 on the other side you can be pretty sure it goes that way on the display card end.

Not in this case unfortunately.

I guess the solution is to get a marker and draw one on, following it back from pin 1 on one of the display boards, assuming GamePlan didn't do something insane, like reversing the pinout at the displays 🤣

It's crazy that they didn't add any keying, or document this in any way

Not unusual sadly. I'd try one to one and see what happens. You could also identify ground wires and figure it out that way.

Got this incoming. Wish me luck😆
Wow, looks like you've got a lot to do!

Definitely worth saving as they are super rare in the UK.

From the limited time I had playing mine, despite the basic layout, they are quite fun to play.

The sounds are TERRIBLE, so I am going to sort out a replacement sound board for mine soon, so you'll probably want one of those as well 🤣

Haha. Cheers mate. This one has the electronic sounds. Some of these foxy ladies have chimes which I would’ve preferred.
