Expired Any interesting early solid state machines around.

Alan's Elektra is a bit out of my price range unfortunately, but I've got a real itch that needs scratching around early 80s solid states. The Jungle Lord on fb would have been great but was the wrong time.

I've seen the BK and SI on ebay but who knows where they will end up. Is anyone looking to move on a machine that may be boring them?

Yeah, that's the problem, in a small collection (4 max), looking for a 6 month fix and swap for similar, ebay is a premium (and risk) that will end in tears. Saying that, not too much loss at that price, but a loss none the less.

got to get over the idea you buy and sell without a loss. i’ve sold about 40% of my games at a loss. who cares. i didn’t have to drop £2 coins in for all the games i had, i fixed and improved them - i enjoyed the journey. that’s payment enough.

Agreed, but even then you need to get lucky with parts not apposed to a bit of electronics or cosmetics, but would love to have another fun and interesting game to play for a bit.

Quite right, my first two sales lost money overall (not including time). Ebay scares me though, if you sell back to ebay at the price you buy, you lose a fair percentage before you add in any expenses. Maybe I'm over thinking it

I paid a bit for my BK than that eBay one is currently going for. I agree with sentiment I’ve heard about it - if it goes for anything under 2k it’s looks a bargain. & it’s not jumped up yet.

Thanks @ronsplooter , just brought both up on YouTube, the boss said an immediate no to the dracula on sound alone....shame.

The jungle lord may have too much flesh on show for my daughter who hates such things. I'll drop it into conversion later. She still isn't talking to me as I have mentioned I may sell my Time Machine and she loves it...

So much more complex a negotiation than I was expecting!!
