Hi

Just acquired a Chicago Coin Rodeo EM gun Game.

Firstly anyone else got one?
Secondly, i certainly need a new stylus for it - any in country?
Thirdly, here was a guy on the Isle of White or Isle of Mann that collected them - i can't find his details though.. He kindly suggested i get in touch when i get one - bugahhhh!

And finally any help guides or vids tucked away on the net i have not seen yet - seems thin on the ground.

Cheers

JB

I do belive a guy call Baz from Nottingham way has a collection of gun games or did do. I have lost his details but he used to play ice hockey hopefully that might narrow down anyone that knows him, I'm sure someone on here knows him. I know that @andrew.m is a good friend of him maybe contact him to ask.

Think of a record player…

in an EM gun game it is where the magic happens. Alignment of gun with contacts underneath. Stylus is the conductive point that created the circuit at the ssme time as operating the trigger press.

therfore:
Aim + trigger press = circuit for #x target.

With above, i basically just told your 6 year old father Xmas does not exist. 😢.

science, no magic 🤔

I have to admit i did see and was VERY tempted by this... have always wanted a gun game of sorts (not operation wolf.. a proper one like this).. i dont think it would keep my attention long enough for the investment... it certainly is a classic though!

With regards to the stylus... see here - https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/rifle-stylus-where-to-buy
Yes saw that. I checked the site last night, nothing obvious on there in terms of p[arts or links. i suspect I would have to email them to find out for sure. Thank you though.

Yea.... Poetic licencing. Not double checked but it has two holes in the cab, but one speaker i think I could be wrong wasn't looking at sound last night just what i noticed. I did download a hi rez one of these flyers and it will be the cover for the manual i am creating for it with fold out schematics. Also scanning the schematic i got from the US and the ones that came with it.

Gotta be worth a mail to Steve Young... He'll probably tell you what you need off the top of his head...

These type of gun games are very tall and very heavy - even had to tilt it to get it under the roller door of the Luton. Do not, i repeat do not be tempted to lye it flat and bring it home in the car... It did look very lonely in the back on it's own i have to say.

BTW i will be bringing it to the NLP show, so i have to get it going by then. I also need to triple thick the back glass. Small patches of it have got to the stage where it has flaked but is still hanging on, so need give it a light dusting on those areas so it is strong enough to take a thicker blast for the entire piece. Not looking forward to masking out the clear bit neither. Some detailed tracing paper work is called for i think then I can cut it out and prit stick it to the glass, spray then lift the paper off before glue or spray sets, let it dry then clean off the excess glue with warm water later....

Bet there'll be a queue for it - I'll certainly want a go.
