Got a bit of a PPI windfall and wife says I can have £1,000 of it to spend on a pin.

I know that won't get me much in this day and age but if you have something you want to move on at this price or lower, let me know!

Thinking that might be enough for a DMD Data East (Back To The Future and Hook and Lethal Weapon 3) or an older Bally Williams maybe?

I was in the same boat as you a few months ago with the same sort of budget and to be honest I think you are going to struggle to find a worker for £1k.

I had to up it a bit to £1,300, but I was prepared to go to £1,500.

Just my opinion and there might be someone on here with something. However, it’s more than likely that you will get one that needs work at £1k or under.

Good luck though.

You'd be better off looking at early solid state machines rather than DMD ones for that sort of budget.

Ive got a BlackKnight2000 that ill be putting up soon for £1000. Im in Grimsby too, so not far away

I have a few machines that would need a bit of work, Mainly data east.

Depends on wether you want a bit of a project or a fully working machine

Trying to think what I'd buy if I was looking for a 1k pin. A year or so back you could get a BoP for that. I'm guessing not any more?

Fixer upper works for me. Not bothered if it’s not fully working. What you got?

Thanks. Had an offer of a Flintstones for not much over my budget.

Doesn’t have to be fully working for me - don’t mind a little Christmas break project!

What was the quality of the flintstones machine and is it still available? I don't mind having a little bit of a fix, but no where near any sort of big overhaul...

Looked in good nick and was fully working. I might still take up the offer - am seeing what offers I get the next few days - but don’t know if it’s still available.

Was offered by someone on this group so will leave it to them to contact you if they want.

What about a Rocky & Bullwinkle ? Needs some transistors replaced (to start with) used the boards out of this to help diagnose a problem I'm having with Star Wars, when I put the boards back in rocky the VUK locks on would eventually burn the VUK solenoid out. I will get around to it eventually but it's pretty far down the list at the moment.

Also have a black pyramid (midway) that has a load of problems (currently no score screens is the main one I remember) could be picked up for humble money. The head had been removed and all the cables cut, currently all the cables have been reconnected with jelly crimps but will eventually be rewired properly...... (Eventually) does start a game and let's you flip the ball about but obviously you don't see any scores. I haven't spent any time other than getting it to this stage and then it was put in storage..

Could possibly be talked into letting Frankenstein go but not for £1k

Rocky and Bulwinkle for a grand is a great shout, I paid more than that for mine 2 years ago and I still love it.

That trick never works :-)
