They did actually make it then. Such a shame the company failed.
How many were made and shipped in the end?

No official numbers got released for any Heighway pinball. I would say less than 100 of each from what I gather!! May be wrong.
They should of designed the games, prototyped them and got Stern to make them like CGC do with the remakes.... hey but what do I know....

Nice game Chris - good luck with the sale.

From memory about 180 I think. Spares are available too (and I have some if anyone is stuck), including playfield protectors...

@Andrew Hannay - do not want to high jack Chris's thread but I said this from within the Heighway company and got shot down in flames.

Anyway - good game - Helmut did an awesome job on the gadgets and Dave the designer (who really did 90% of it....)

I’d love it, got no space for it, can’t play it at the mo anyway, hope the new owner enjoys.

Am I the only one that doesn’t like the green trim? Just seems out of place.

180 games in total? I don't think they made 180 LE's did they?

Yea, the lime green looks ****e IMO.

That being said, I would happily have the game tomorrow in any bloody colour.

It's too thick. If it was a normal size trim it would look fine but just looks out of place to me. It's not the colour that bothers me but the size of it.

Every time I see a Heighway Pinball game it makes me sad. Alien especially. Would have been amazing to see a British pinball manufacturer succeed and they would have been the only company who could have ever secured the Harry Potter IP from JK Rowling (she insists everything is made in Britian).

Does anybody know where they were getting playfields made? I assume everything was made in the UK?

Harry Potter Lego is not made in Britain and neither is 99.9% of the other merchandise that is sold!

I would love to see a Harry Potter Pinball, but it has nothing to do with being ‘made’ in the UK. I assume even the Alien pinball was only assembled in the UK, with most of the parts coming from overseas.

She simply doesn't want one to happen; she distrusts pinball.

I promise you the instead that this situation changes - if it ever does - all of the current manufacturers will whip out the long knives and murder each other trying to secure it.

There's some confusion about that. It's something to do with Warner Bros. having certain rights to the merchandising, but a pinball machine would no fall under the category of "merchandise". It's why everything that is made for the Universal theme parks is shipped over from here. Even the staff costumes apparently.

She was given a lot of creative control over the Universal theme park attraction, and over the movies themselves - but that is honestly as far as it goes. She still controls her IP but she reserves the 'authentic' requirement for the films and the immersive attraction.

I’m guessing there’s a lot of spare parts floating about since the production run was never finished?

Mirco so good luck with that! :)

Urgh. Their playfields are total crap.
More to that than the recent clear coat failures? I'm curious and woefully low knowledge on anything past the year 2000. I've only just realised that I've not been under the playfield of anything newer than a Starship Troopers...
