Hi all,

I am selling my Addams Family pinball machine, I have fully restored the machine, the restoration process included the following:

Inside of cabinet and backbox fully restored and custom finished in blue and black
Full external restoration of cabinet and backbox including new decal set and new side rails
Brand new reproduction playfield fitted
Playfield finished with ceramic laquer prior to being fitted
New main ramp
New bookcase
Complete new pop bumpers fitted
Full new plastic set
New rubber kit
Full super bright LED kit fitted
All metal parts polished or replaced if required
All mechanisms refurbished
All coil sleeves replaced
Entire wiring loom cleaned

The topper is perfect as is the translite and DMD display.

With all the above work the machine is in better than new condition!

I will add photos at the weekend but details of the full restoration process along with images can be seen here: http://www.exploded.co.uk/taf-pinball-restoration/

I am asking £5900.00 for the machine.

Kevin

This truly is one of the best examples of TAF you will ever see. It's probably the best condition pin I've ever played (other than a brand new WOZ which would be a slightly unfair comparison). Kevin put a stupid amount of effort in to this pin. Just check his shop blog for the details on the playfield and clear coat and all the other stuff. Mental.

Quite why he's selling it is beyond me!

Nedreud, it's either TAF or CV - I'm sure you'd rather I sell TAF so you can still come over and play CV!
Yeah... true... given the choice between your TAF or your CV I'd choose CV, but mostly because it's such a beautiful and unusual game. In terms of restoration quality your TAF is, as you said, probably better than new. There aren't many people who buy a brand new reproduction playfield and send it off for further restoration work and better clear-coat!

On a separate note: get yourself an avatar!!! ;)

How about this?

Thanks for the comments everyone and for the advice mufcmufc. I realise it's very expensive and am open to offers.

I don't think its that bad a price given the time, money and effort put into that game. I've seen battered TAFs go for £3500+

Makes the TZ I sold for under 5k with new playfields, new ramps, re-decaled, new flipper assemblies, new targets, new scoops, new legs, new DMD & loads of other new parts seem a snip then!

Possibly. Still bad etiquette to point out prices in threads though. It's not horribly overpriced, it's worth what someone wants to pay for it.

Kev, put it on EBay. Couple out there for the same money, but you never know! Or if you can wait until Xmas and sell it.

Not like you to let a thing like that go cheap.
Your slipping there Stormy.

That is my old playfield and I think anyone that was doing a resto would have done the same thing due to the imperfections, I certainly was going to get it restored before fitting, think it was a B grade pf (not sure if the chair hole edge was supposed to be routed into a bevel unlike the original pf), one of the last ones made as the perfect ones were all cherry picked on a first come basis, I purchased it from Fishbulb who imported it, Daz and Poi kindly brought it up from the slam.

Thanks for all the additional comments everyone and also Dave Bishop for your suggestion. I plan to put it on ebay this weekend (if I can find time!).

Thanks to Judge Dreads too for selling me the playfield last year, I planned on keeping the machine for many years but I need to free up some cash and the TAF is the highest value machine in my collection (well, hopefully anyway!).

It's a brilliant log of how you did everything and really helpful - read it through a few times now.
How does it play with the new playfield. Very fast?

Thanks Megatron. It plays very fast esp with the additional ceramic laquer, it feels like glass!

Hiro996, that's an awesome shop on your 'now sold' TAF. The dedication to do all of that is very impressive... I hope my TAF is half as good as yours once I'm finished with mine..

Great work I salute you..
