The AF had been showing a problem in finding a ball in the ball trough during a game.On checking i found the middle right switch was faulty not beeping on switch test.I decided to change both middle switches and got these from pinball heaven. This a fairly easy change. Then when powering the game fault showing pinball missing and on starting the game 3 balls chucked into play.I have checked all switches and all beeping fine .I have resoldered all connections and all seem good. What a conundrum What do i do next Yours a frustrated billy butler.

Wires on correct lug EXACTLY AS the original.Did not check the diodes are they specials as they are plastic sheathed .I think i will stick to growing tomatoes been clarting on with pinballs since 1984 when will i ever learn.cheers billy bustit.

If the switches are fine in switch test you probably have them set too low so the ball doesn’t activate them. Go into switch test and start dropping balls into the through and see what happens.

Took the apron off and tried balls over the trough swithes. The middle rt switch did not activate so readjusted i the wire so it worked ok wiyh the ball on it .PROBLEM solved NO on starting the game same problem pinball missing and 3 balls chucked into play. What are the sheathed diodes on the middle whie switches are they different to the normal diodes on the m/c .I am hampered by not having a taf manual Cheers for help Billy butler.

Manual you can download at ipdb.org. https://www.ipdb.org/files/20/Bally...y_1992_includes_schematics_OCR_searchable.pdf
Should have three balls to start with the simple things. Have a look if any switches are stuck on which shouldn‘t, especially outhole or shooter lane. Make sure the balls roll through the through without problems. Standard issue is magnetic balls or divots in the through metal keeping balls from rolling on as needed. Also, put balls in the through and wiggle the switches if the above doesn‘t help. Your issue is there.

Visit from col and forum member paul to view my pins on examination found the middle rt side switch was not activated with ball on it even though i had seemingly sorted it yesterday by bending the wire.Col pointed out the best way was to take off the switch and bend the switch arm accordingly this i did and success ensured.Yippeee sorted.Ignorance is bliss but i keep on trying .At least col did not condemn my soldering as i have goafed the plumbers solder. Many thanks all for advice in particular drhex.Cheers billy fixed it.

Was @Garry Sp8 not Paul 😂
Thanks to Garry for lifting the PF up as I can’t ATM then a quick sw test confirmed the wire wasn’t in correct place so simple fix we left for Billy seeing as though no soldering needed 😂
