Glad to see some familiar faces at the EAG yesterday. Liked the TWD remake a lot more than I did at the Dutch. And kept stumn about the S word .
Avoided the DDR and shenanigans with the photo booth.

So 40 years of these January shows. one at the NEC but mostly at Earls Court. Video no longer king but plenty of redemption to fill our arcades.

1 by minibus , 3 in our own van , 4 by coach (never again!) 23 by train and rest in car comfort. £30 parking and ULEZ. what fun but the lovely folk at the Excel are very good with providing free disabled facilities.

so many memories . helping put legs on RFM , carting off a life size resin Lara Croft courtesy of the nice folk at JPM, playing Eric Bristow at electonic darts and Steve Davis at snooker , the early virtual reality , the R360 making me ill , all the lovely swag - huge posters , a south park tie for getting a grand champion , the escape from the lost world wind up dinos , caps badges mugs stickers and the elusive barcrest playing cards.

no many early pics but there you go. the world before smart phones!

40 years means its High Speed is 40 too. THE game changer. Everything else was left behind!
