Bally mpy gives me 7 flashes then keeps repeating the 7 fladhes time after time etc.
Never had this in all the years if had them. Any ideas guys? Ken

This can happen from a bad 6810 RAM at U7, or possibly a bad socket or broken trace at U7 (6810). Also there can be a broken trace or bad socket at the U11 PIA especially around pins 35 to 40. Also check resistor R134 (4.7k ohms), if this resistor is bad, the game will reboot over and over.

Sounds like what I had years ago and for me it was Q22 or Q23 on the driver board ,it was one of the 3 legs that had snapped off under the component . Only noticed it by gently pushing it a little and it moved slightly which it shouldn’t move at all . I was reconditioning another driver board at the time so was swapping boards at the time , just share luck I spotted that fault !
