Just found old local newspaper feature .....from the Brighton Argus Monday January 25th 2010 !

Incredibly a decade has passed since the first South Coast Slam. For our younger viewers the Slam rocked the UK pinball world in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2014 and has since passed into legend  Ask any of the old timers on here and they will go all misty eyed, nod their heads sagely and say 'You had to be there man.You had to be there'

It started with 60 odd pins ...........by the 4th Show in 2014 we had a total of 146 pins and video games !

That first year we were surprised ourselves when Gary Stern rocked up and told us in no uncertain terms there would never be a Tron pinball machine . What a liar ! :D We raffled a Popeye machine and people actually bought tickets ! The Psych Out tent was born ! We were utterly disorganized ! We held it in the middle of the darkest coldest January ! We drank too many beers ! But we raised loads of money for charity and we had a blast !

Long live the Slam and the Slam crew @Will @Matt Adams @Rav @Alpha1
RIP The Slam

Bring back the Slam!
I occasionally drive down to see some friends in Brighton which takes me right past the venue - great times in 2013/2014
2014 promo video was amazing too o_O

Are you planning on doing one this year? - sounds great👌

I remember me and Jack @NewForestPinballJr , having some great weekends at the slam...forming some good memories together...those events were definitely responsible for Jack getting into playing pinball!
I remember the year when sttng was the raffle prize! Jack spent all his pocket money on tickets that year!....he was really upset when he did not win. Seem to recal though when Popeye was the prize he never bothered entering.
Bring back the slam! It was a fantastic event , and it was down south. Well done @Sgt GrizZ , @Will , @Matt Adams and @Alpha1, for organising these events. Sorry @Rav , I think you are the only one we don't know...so many thanks to you too.....
But as we all know "life" gets in the way of these things.......Keef.

The slam in 2012 was me and Mrs Tox’s first time at a pinball meet. What an experience, the noise was amazing and it catapulted me back to my youth.
We were at the 2014 one too and I think that was where @Sgt GrizZ had the psych out tent with Austin Powers and those fantastic glasses.
Cmon guys bring it back.
