Closest accomodation is the Premier Inn in Pontrhydyrun, Cwmbran, approx 1 mile away. There is also an improved cycle and walkers route nearby.
Taxis will be £3.50 - £4.00 each way.
The Premier Inn has free parking, wi-fi, air-con rooms and there is a large pub next door. Alot of people have stayed there before and is recommended.
Double room prices are £31.50 for Friday and £59.50 for Saturday.
There's also a Best Western in South Pontypool but a bit dearer and near a dual carriageway.
Taxis will be £3.50 - £4.00 each way.

We have enough Pinball pledges now, thanks again.
Local flyers are going up soon (thanks to Deb and Kevlar) so if you intend to compete on either day, then book-in soon as the venue has a limited capacity. ( and I've got to pay for it soon )

Saturday. The Welsh Classic 2017.
There is a large car park adjaecent. It can get
busy on weekends.
Doors open at 12 noon.
Please wait for your wristband at the front doors.
The front doors of the Olive Tree is facing the
park.
Competition will be held in the Right hand room.
Practise until 1pm.
We have 7 classic pinballs planned to be used.
Each machine to be played once only.
The scores will be added up with 1 point for first
down to 48 for last place.
3 ball games. Single player. Hoping to have enough
room for sit and wait for each game.
As used before, the next player to verify the score
of the previous player.
All games to be played by 3.30pm.
Top 16 will qualify for the next round.
1st will play 16th,15th and 14th
2nd will play 13th, 12th and 11th.
3rd will play 10th, 9th and 8th.
4th will play 7th,6th and 5th.
The pinballs used will be drawn randomly.
Each winner of each group will play in the final
All second place players will play for 5,6,7 and
8th place.
All third place players will play for 9,10,11 and
12th place.
All fourth place players will play for 13,14,15 and
16th place.
Pinballs again will be drawn at random. Also play
order.
Presentation of awards to complete the schedule.
Best Lady, under 18 and 1st,2nd,3rd and 4th
overall. The Dave Rolfe memorial shield will also
be presented to the overall winner.
Sunday. The Welsh Pinball Cup. Doors open at 12
noon. The comp will be held in the Left hand
room.There will be no practise session as pinballs
were available on the Saturday and will give chance
for people to get away a bit earlier.
Same format as Saturday but on DMD pinballs.
Final written instructions available on the

Machine abuse and loud swearing will not be
tolerated and will result in disqualification from
the competition.

Please arrive before 11.45am. Doors will open at 12 noon on Saturday.
Postcode will take you to the right place. At the bottom of the ramp, bear immediately right to stay on the service road. You will pass the Oasis club on the right. Continue to the end building (The Olive Tree) and pass through the metal gate which is access to the large park.
Turn right and entrance is there. We will be there to help unload etc.
There will be a layout plan at the front entrance, in case I'm busy collecting machines.
Please let me know beforehand if you don't want your Pinball to be used in competition.
After unloading, please move vehicle to the main car park so we can get others in.
Also, please bring rubber feet (for pinballs...) or carpet squares as one room has laminate flooring.

Whats the earliest you want people there to start unloading and setting up? I'll be staying in the premier inn the night before so will be able to get there from 9:30 ish probably.

Dan, the venue opens at 9am. I will be loading before then. We will have to make more trips to collect machines that are stored locally. 9.30 is fine as there will be helpers there.
