The "I just beat my high score" thread

Just got back from a pinball gathering. A huge thanks to @lee riley  for hosting a brill afternoon and it was nice to put some faces to people on this forum along with some great forum members I already know.

Played DP for the first time and it’s a great game I really enjoyed. Thanks must go to Jim @myPinballs for his help and expertise. Managed to get the GC score

Great score mate. Always fun to play as 4 with friends. Cheers as always to @lee riley . Always a top afternoon round yours with a top selection of games :)

Massive thanks from me also Lee.
Also managed to get my name on a few machines.
Played Deadpool for the first time, loved it.

Had a good game of BM66 today. This really is the best pinball ever!!! So many ways to play.

Had 2 great (almost consecutive) games last night at Phil's.
20190110_232327.jpgFirst a game on Deadpool, both quests completed, all three enemies completed, Sauron completed, and then Mystique and Sabretooth completed second time around (with Sauron helping them), started Juggernaut twice, but couldn't complete him. Shame as that would have had Mr Sinister wizard mode ready to go..

Then moved on to Dialed In
20190110_232053.jpgpretty poor first ball, lit one mode then drained straight out of it. Second ball was something else though. Managed to start 9 modes, completing 7 of them. Collected all of those SIM cards, and earned the others to allow me to get to Showdown in mini multiballs. Completed Showdown.
Was just one mode from getting to Armageddon, but drained trying to light the phone.

Quick high score story!

About a year ago I scored 15 billion on AFM and told my 2 boys as they used to play the game a lot, back in 2011 when I had my first one.

As they were stuck on their xbox's, never playing pinball, I said to them that they would never beat it. Haven't played it much since and they didn't play it at all.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago. My youngest started playing FT ( he ignores modern Sterns ) and then he moved onto AFM. Bit of a shock to see him playing again. Taught him to nudge.

Yesterday, I heard shouting and came in to see he was nearly at RTU! He then got to RTU, and was 2 shots away from completion. Finished with 20 billion. I was very happy for him and totally shocked!

About 20 mins later he said, do you remember when you said we would never beat your score? Yes, I remember. Do you also remember that you said you would give us £100 if we beat your score?

Oh dear:rolleyes:

I vaguely remember saying it, as they had never got higher than 6 billion; I just wanted them to get off their xbox's so was offering a cash incentive; they no longer played; and I thought my score was as safe as houses:D

So, he got 20 billion and I had to hand over £100o_O

I guess I need to be more careful in the future as all my pinball monies could disappear:eek:

There is also a £50 prize that I also offered for getting over half a billion on FT. I think that is safe........

My super mean CFTBL at last deemed fit to allow a super jackpot . I'm amazed casual players love this machine so much as it's a drain monster.

Thought I'd have a quick bash on Aerosmith - and this happened

Smashed my previous best of 970,000,000. Before BM66 arrived I solely played TNA for 3 months, and keeping the ball in play on TNA is comparable to swimming with your clothes on, making BM66 feel so much easier.

The only bad thing about BM66? Don't plan on doing anything else for the next hour!

I had the game of all games on BM66 not far off of getting all wizard modes an awesome game. I’m totally regretting not updating it now :tut::rofl:

Great score. Always seems the way when you sell you have one of your best games, almost as if the machine knows and is trying one last attempt to get you to change your mind!!

Haha I'm glad I'm not the only one this happens to! It's weird, the last game is always one of the best.

Some how I doubt your games are setup as tough as mine ;) That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it.
