TAF - white bumper cutout

Ello

Anyone here swapped out the cutout bumper cap for a regular one, or one that is otherwise modded? I've bought some fancy LED rings for my pop bumpers - same as on my TZ - and realised after I bought them (at some expense) that the white bumper cap on TAF has a slight cutout in it where the ball guide is.



It's only a small cutout but I presume it's there for a reason (although I didn't realise the ball ever normally hits the cap?)

I really don't want to have to send these back if I can help it. Would they be really unsafe to use?

There’s a posting on pin side about a chap cutting the led ring down, might be worth a read? I’d have a good look at it first before cutting though

I suspect it won't be trivial to trim it, as it's a full sized disc - here is a sample image:

Did some test fitting.. I think it'll probably be ok.. what do you lot think?

Looks ok to me. The balls could strike it, but you take your chances.
