System 11: Momentary Short??????

Hi guys
I fired up Whirlwind today for the first time in about 5 months and on start up its showing an error.

It simply says “Momentary Short”

The game boots and plays fine

Never seen it before and can’t find much of any help anywhere.

Assuming no loose dangling wires hanging out anywhere, probably time to look closely at the power board. Components on there probably on the way out (big filter cap etc.)

But do check everything with for that message. The slam tilt switch is a good example of something that can trigger this one

I’ve got a new power board so I’ll swap it in and see if it remains.

By way of an update I disconnected the lower playfield switches connector from the interconnect board and rebooted and the fault disappeared.
I then reconnected it and rebooted and the fault still didn’t reappear so for now it’s sorted.
