so played final dialled in and I have say I like it, probably not enough to order one but I think its a well made game, lots of flow and a ruleset that will be challenging. The huge screen on JJP machines is wasted I find it impossible to watch the info coming out of the screen and play the game, luckily the call outs help a lot.
machines in this place are the best I've played on location but sadly some of the tilt's incredibly tightly set that made nudging impossible on games that you really need to budge (Ghostbusters for example), some highlights:
Medieval Madness original - finally a mint original to compare to the remake. Here is the news, they play almost identical, flippers slightly different partly owing to different rubbers.
Monster Bash, the nicest MB I've ever seen, a touch better than my own but really
Beautiful AC-DC black in black, Spiderman Black edition (spiderman is game growing on me), GB LE, an absolutely stunning Tron LE.
They also have a TBL which was pleasantly working well and playing it again reminded me (since expo) what a fantastic game it is with lots of innovations - such a shame DP are foobared.
if you are in the NYC area this is a must go place. Its hilarious that you go through a laundrette - with people washing their smalls etc - to get to the speakeasy at the back but its really a great place - nice choice of beers...
Definitely a place i want to visit one day. Seen a you tube clip of this place a few months back. Even the door to get out the back to more machines and the bar looks like the front of a washing machine.
Great pics Neil.
