Spirit Ring - Magnet Removal

Anyone got any hints on how to remove the magnet from the ToM Spirit Ring so I can get it gold plated? It's hot glued (or similar) and I need to remove it but it's stuck fast and wiggling and prising with screwdrivers is doing nothing.

Eddie try a hair drier on the top of the spirit ring you will have to get it hot (dont be tempted with a hot air gun ) a good hair drier is best

Perfect. Hot air and some brute force worked wonders. Ta
