Would any of you wizards with electronics have any idea why this lighting remote would be eating batteries in a week? (It lasted for a couple of years until recently). None of the switches are stuck on. When I put a new battery in, it works but my meter is measuring "OL" on the mA setting.

Trying to fix it is probably a long shot but I can't find a replacement.

Freeze spray it and see what melts first, sounds like faulty component somewhere failing drawing to much current.

After lots of searching, I figured out that the easy option is just to replace the whole receiver and remote for £5 on ebay (plus the time for shipping from China).
