So...

After having felt the need to keep my head down for such a long time for less than practical reasons, with everything that was going on with the Heighway Pinball situation, I have a *ridiculous* amount of damage to recover from. I have to get past this hideous no-win rut I've been in for a long time where I've had both social anxieties, and the sense of isolation and feeling trapped, heavily attacking me at the same time as eroding my self-confidence and self-worth down to zero. Basically I have to get out, meet people again, or else I'm just going to wither away in this house.

Regular meets and events within reasonable travel distance of South Wales. Community projects I can get involved in, and help to get my own machines back up and working to their best once my finances have finally stabilised. Basically, any assitance in putting most of the last six years behind me and moving on is going to be appreciated.

So what is there that I can attend or call upon? I only recently made my way to the forums, and the UK email newsgroup seems all but defunct, thus I'm as out of touch with everything as I can possibly be.

As you say, the Yahoo group is virtually dead, why I didn't see your earlier email. Most people are on here.

SWL is probably the closest to you for regular meets on a Friday evening. Although public transport to get back home could be issue.

Not knowing the railways in SW don't know how easy it would be for you to get to Tilt, which is virtually outside Birmingham New St station. I hold a regular Monday Night League meet the last Monday of the month.

And Electric Circus is open most weekends

Flipout also has regular meetings, on a Thursday evening I think.

The UK League season is coming to a close now, but there are still some meetings left to be held and you'd be welcome at any of those.

Then there's Swavesey in July

and then there's UK Pinfest in August

It would be good to see you at any of them.

Welcome back, Wayne has kindly outlined lots of potential events you can attend - I'm sure you'll get your mojo back soon and we are all a (relatively) nice bunch so you'd feel welcome anywhere, I'm sure.

I know it's abit of a trek from you Dave there's a nice selection of pins in the arkade in minehead. A load of us met up down there a while back

Looking at the list of options, Tilt seems the most viable out of the regular meets (about 3h 30 on the train). Anyone more local still in Wales who hasn't been afflicted by our fiasco? It's blummin' quiet over here.
