There are various reports of the 70s/ early 80s Bally SS having random solenoid firings and these being really hard to trace/ fix.
My Paragon has done this for years. Once or twice a game. Same for everyone, not that many points at stake, so I just left it. As it's a bit colder at the mo it was doing it far more than usual yesterday.
Hence I finally investigated it - nothing more than a very tight gap on the switch contacts. Completely obvious given that the pops don't even have transistors in the circuit.
Simple solutions and all that....
