Hi,
@BigIan
@Cryptkeeper
@jack burton
Apologies for the weekend mention but from past and comments and messages, I know you folks are on the island if Ireland and love your pins.
I finally have my starter system11 (F14) tracked down with a seller here on the forums.
I was wondering if you could suggest a good shipper to pick up a project pin on a pallet in Southampton and ship it to Galway?
I know some folks here on the forum have done this before but was hoping for recent experiences and recommendations also?

Any help or assistance with trying to sort this out would be very much appreciated, as I have never done anything like this before.

I want to ensure its as safe as possible and get someone reliable. If only Martin did the ferry from time to time...

Thanks to all

Please do post on how you get on with the delivery and who you ended up using. From Ireland also and would like to think I will be doing the same in the future.

Www.shiply.com can be good if you are not in a rush (post where you want it lifted and delivered and shippers bid for your business)

I have also used 2wheelsdirect before, specialised bike transporter but can sometimes fit a pin in if not full on a trip (again you might need to wait to get it cheap)

Thanks for that - not worried about getting it cheap really, more interested in getting a trusted one that someone has used and would recommend.
I'll try shiply also.

Thanks

Thanks @Cryptkeeper, I'll use Transland given your experience. Did you just list a high weight? Was going to just book it as 200kg as it makes no difference in price.

Thanks to all, much appreciated

Interesting... just tried to get a quote for Spain to the UK just out of interest - nothing Cheaper than £300!!

Did you check Transland?
Seems once it's on a pallet you have options, but no idea when it's Spain or others.

Thank you again @Cryptkeeper for the suggestion of Transland.
It seems that as long as you can wrap and strap to a pallet, you have options.

@Muppetkiller I had no issues. It was well wrapped with cardboard, bubble wrap and soft foam packing materials in certain places.
Transland certainly seemed to come in a lot more reasonable on pricing than the others I checked. If you can plan it a few days out it's around the 100 euro + VAT mark.
Picked up on the Friday afternoon, delivered intact the next Tuesday afternoon. I contacted them a couple of times over the course of the "operation" and they were quite responsive. Don't expect much from their tracking, as really it seems to just track the job creation to invoicing, not the actual transit.

Hope that might help someone else in future when searching here on the forums.

By the time I get it, it will have force-feedback installed as well, for flippers, slings, pops and knocker :)
You'll be more than welcome to come and play it.
