I've been working through cleaning up and refurbing these machines and have hit a couple of issues.

Not sure what parts I need to order or who to get them from? If anyone has any, I’m going to be at SWL for the comp tomorrow so will happily buy off you there

Firstly on DE Robocop the end of the shooter eject mechanism that strikes the ball has snapped off, all the other mechs like this on the game have the metal a lot longer - the coil and sleeve seem fine so I think this is why the ball doesn’t eject into the shooter lane all the time - what do I need to order?

Also if anyone has the ’spring’ that stops the ball settling on the pop bumper, that would be handy too (think it is for Simpsons originally) as it’ll probably work better than the bent paperclip I’m currently using,

On Space Jam, it looks like the inner panel the shooter rod mechanism screws into to has been changed, or if it is original has warped. It is just a flat metal piece that doesn’t seem to really fit. I've changed the shooter rod and it doesn’t sit straight and fouls the auto plunger, so auto launches are an issue. Tried taking the plate out, hammering it flat again and adjusting the position but can’t get it to sit dead straight

Thanks for any help or suggestion, I think I’m getting there with working on these machines but cant find these parts listed anywhere in the UK

Anyone got suggestions? I was hoping to get both fixed up for the family to play over Christmas

The shooter eject mech tip does look bust, what about a shooter tip rubber maybe epoxyed on to give some extra length - would that fit through the gap?

The deflector spring on the pop, do you know what it looks like? My Hook has similar and it's just like a bent piece of piano wire which is attached to a screw in the pf then loops round the post with the free end poking out the attached end hence gives it some "spring" to deflect.

I have just finished re doing up my Robocop new plastics etc mine just has the screw here ball never gets stuck, heres a pic

@astyy
I was wondering about a sticking shooter rod tip on myself, if I can’t find a replacement, I’ll give it a go!

As for the spring, I think it is like you describe - people have used ones from TSPP, but those have a bend which means adding another screw to fix it. I suspect those are more sturdy than the paperclip which is bending slightly and so I guess will end up getting moved out of position again soon.

@scottydoesntknow The balls lodge right against the rubber on mine, I guess its just wear.

Don’t suppose you could take a photo of the up-kick mechanism that pushes balls into the shooter lane for me, could you? Does the point of it extend up into the play field in its resting position? Trying to figure out if it is really broken off, or whether it is a coil/plunger issue.

thanks,

cant you adjust the pop to make it super sensitive, then the ball sitting on the skirt like that should cause the bumper to go off shouldnt it?

I've done some detective work on the ball trough eject arm...

According to the Robocop manual online (Pg 27) the ball trough eject mech is part 500-5012-00 but no parts breakdown shown

The breakdown of the same is shown however in the BTTF manual and the Eject Arm is part 515-5008-00, looking at pics of this the end of yours defo looks bust off

According to the action pinball website part 515-5008-00 is discontinued but can be replaced by B/W part A-8247

Pinball Heaven showing stock of A-8247 for a very reasonable £7.50 nicker

Double check before splashing cash but would appear good
