I was lucky enough to pick up a Mando Premium before christmas and have a birthday not long after, this has meant some nice little pinball presents from family. I took this oportunity to do a mini shop log. the machine was in great condition and just under a year old. there was some minor track marks, to be expected and dirt on the playfield around the uper orbits.

Recieved some goodies from pinsound:

Took some of the ramps of to get to the playfield, cleaned the metal, cleaned the playfiled waxed the playfield. I will say the designer have thought about this, it so far has been the easiest machine to take apart to get access to the hard to reach cleaning places.

Various boring pics :)

First Problem and some advice to other Mando owners when I tried to take the guard of the mando mini playfield to get the the mini playfield and flippers one of the screws in the manufacturing process had crossed threaded making it impossible to remove the guard and be able to access the mini playfield underneath. Trying to twist the plastic around scratched it ( iwas able to get most of the scratches off with a lot of effort) the metal bracket isnt quite smooth as you would expect.

As they still currently make the machine it should be possible to get the two replacement parts I need to rectfiy and am in the process of trying to do so. Currently it would be very difficult (but not totatly impossible) to do any maintenance on the helmet flippers. I would strongly advise checking that you can unsrew the several little black screws holding the guard in place. they should unscrew easily and are easily accesible without removing a ton of stuff. Whilst the parts are available.

Problem screw, the head became damaged trying to get it out. It won't budge above a certain amount of turning.

Bracket its atached to:

Plastic numbers 1 and 7. 7 is rivet to the bracket at the top and bottom, the bracket is screwed to the underside of the mini playfield.

I'm quite grateful that I did a mini clean and decided to give the mini playfield a polish as it hifghlighted this issue. the flippers will at some point need re-rubbering in a couple of years. It would have been very difficult then to get access to them and impossible/very difficult to get the replacement parts, where as at the moment not so much.

Did you get the screw out? If not, dremel a slot across, turn out with flat blade screwdriver with lots of back and forth.

No, I gave up didn't want to damage the area and not be able to use the machine. Thanks will do this if I need to in the future, trying the first root of replacement bits whilst I can.

Great work, loving the button plate, where from please? I'm loving my pro, have ordered the wire forms to replace the plastic ramps, art blades, but just torn on the topper! It looks great but that price, I think I'll get one like yours!

Thanks, @Colywobbles if you send him a PM. He has a couple of additional ones that I didn't get. He will be able to show you what he has got for Mando. I was originally thinking of getting a Pro as NITB because of older stock prices it does offer good value (in the current market of stupid prices) and saw the metal ramps.

The topper an interesting one for Mando, unlike some of the other stern ones, which are essentially just a big lump of plastic it does have some electronics and code. There is a hologram that interacts with the game. The topper also activates some additional modes in the code that allow you to play it. I personally don't think this justifies the £2K price tag. £2K is a lot of money. If it was £1K (still a lot of money) or less I might have been tempted, only because it does add additional play features.

Mine was probably a £5 so £1,995 saving ! :)
