Early evening yesterday my granddaughter called round to pick up some birthday cards that had been delivered here for her.
In tow was George her 6yr old son.
The stamp on one of the cards depicted ‘The battle of Edgecote Moor 1469’.
He’s looking at the stamp with me and I’m reading what it says. Then he asks me
“Were you there gramps?”
I didn’t know whether to laugh cry or clack the little buggers ear. Christ I don’t look that old!!!

If I said that to my long gone granddad he would have gone into a long story of how he was there and what happened, he was a great tale teller
