that would be an awesome theme but highly doubt it could be made as pop culture makes the film so the amount of licenses needed make this machine highly unlikely

yeah I was thinking the same but it depends on how the stuff was licensed to the film; knowing Spielberg...
He didn't manage to get all the licensing needed for the film...and there are lots of noticeable changes to book due to legal reasons

the Iron Giant is definitely noticeable lol But I doubt anyone other than Spielberg (perhaps Lucas) could have got the rights that they did get.
