Interesting re the kit.

Must admit, I probably wouldn't notice if my loops weren't always registering!

But, sounds like another good fix.

When you've got the glass off get a ball and pass it by the opto round the loop.Then raise the ball off the playfield slightly and pass the opto again.
See how high it needs to be on that rail to not register.
