Import/VAT charges dodged

The give away that anything is due is a whacking great sticker on the parcel showing you the costs.

It could be possible that the parcel got thru somehow.

This doesnt happen often but I bet he gets away with it.
Maybe and lucky if so. Good luck to him

I always thought letters were auto generated with follow ups and then pass to dept recovery with interest added . All automated

Certainly ups is like a dog with a bone for even 0.01p owing!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Sometimes you win sometimes you lose

Pay the bill and draw a line under it

Everyone knows there is a chance of VAT or Duty being due when buying from abroad!

I know people ship to friends who reship with lower values… But then you run the risk of if parcel gets damaged or lost you lose out cause of the insured value

Best thing to do is ask the merchant if they are collecting the VAT for UK and ask for proof or make sure your not charged the VAT

I use lots of European partners and they all correctly follow the lines and I never get stung
