Hi, Can someone help me sort an issue out with one of the pop bumpers on my Gottlieb Rocky system 80a ss machine.
As soon as the machine is powered up it engages on its own and takes out the 2a slow blow fuse. Switches test ok. Coil and diode test ok.
I disconnected one side of the coil and manually apply it to the coil and it engages on manual contact and removal.
So something elsewhere is powering it up , can any one help please.
Thanks, Tom

The each pop bumper has a driver board and that will most likely be where your fault lies. They are notorious for going wrong.

I normally just buy a replacement

or from Jim @myPinballs (showing out of stock) at https://mypinballs.com/electronics/store.jsp
Nice one. I remember Andy from Pinballmania replacing a transistor on one some while ago so I bought a pack from RS and the correct fuses and forgot all about it till now. So I found them and replaced the transistor and it is all up and running again.
So, many thanks Moonraker.
