Well I have now just bought my dream pin which is TH LE (very recently listed on here) so I have therefore reduced the price to £3995 without the spares.
However If it doesn’t sell I will tombstone and carefully store away to make way for 3 incoming pins. Note to self: must tell the missus about this at some point!

I may be interested in a part ex for an older project pin as long as it’s a 90’s one plus money my way or for a newer JJP/Stern LCD Pin with money your way.
There are a few older pins I’ve yet to own TS, WH20, TSPP & LOTR spring to mind but I’m happy to revisit any Williams/Bally pin as my little lad Gabe hasn’t had the pleasure and I will enjoy the experience even more having dad/son battles together then just move on at some point.

Up for sale is my Funhouse a game I have owned since 1991 in HUO. It was the very 1st Pinball I bought and I thought it would be the last I let go. However in the last year or so my 7yr old son Gabe has shown an interest and started playing my pins on a daily basis, usually around 7am “god bless his little cotton socks”.
So I thought I would get FH out of retirement and let Gabe loose on it only to find some idiot (me) had not only left the batteries in the CPU board but never changed them since storing. Doh! An expensive lesson learned yet again so Off to P.H. Via Martin for Phil & ChrisB to get it sorted for me. A replacement CPU board, sound board repair and Rudy overhaul amongst a couple of other minor fixes it came back to me last week as good as new.

However when I set it up and the Bairn finally had his 1st go he was quite unimpressed which sortof didn’t surprise me due to the fact we had both just spent the following few weeks playing TH which Phil@PH had kindly loaned us for the Xmas period. So rather than put it back into storage I am now offering it up for sale here along with lots of spares.

The FH itself is a culmination of a 10yr search for the perfect example, my original FH was the only pin I owned for several years and had a lot of use even though it was HUO. So when I eventually decided to buy a few pins I thought it would be a good chance to get it restored to better than original so bought 8 more FHs (yes 8) along with a beautiful DP PF I sourced from Germany.
I dropped the best 5 of the 9 at ChrisBs, scrapped 2 and sold 2 to make room as the garage could only store 34pins and I had more on the way. Chris made my grail FH (this one) another nice example which I sold to a friend, Chris bought one himself and what was left was also moved on as project pins.

I do not have to tell anyone how good ChrisBs restorations are and this FH was no exception, although it was several years ago it was the same high standard of detail he puts into his work and like I said earlier it has had very little use since due to being stored so I’m guessing maybe 50 games at max! From what I remember it was a full nut & bolt resto with replacement DP PF and redecaled to perfection. It also had a set of cliffys fitted along with some plastic protectors.

Spares include a populated PF although a few damaged and missing bits, a speaker panel with display included and a large box of bits and pieces inc Rudy jaw ect.

The cabinet has a few scuffs which you can barely see unless you really scrutinise it, so I have taken some close up pics which TBH make them look worse than they actually are.

PRICE £4995 which will include all the spares above (pics below)

I am not interested in a part ex at this time as I’m short of room however I’ll throw out the bed in the spare room if anyone is parting out TH gold (money your way obviously) If it does not sell I will list on eBay for the same price but without the spares.

I would highly recommend anyone to come view the pin in person (cash on collection) and inspect to their hearts content but I am also happy to let it go via Martin as long as payment has been cleared via BACS. If I’ve left anything out or if anyone wants further pics just ask and if anyone wants to chat about the pin feel free to pm me for my mobile number.

Thanks for looking Col

Just out of curiosity did you mean storage for 3-4pins or do you have a huge garage that can store 34 pins and you could become the Pinball paradise king of the north east ?

Well I actually had 34 at the time 8 in my games room a couple in loan and the rest tombstoned in me garage I only wished I still had em. Then I really would be the pinball king of the north. \o/ This was early 2000s and that garage is now Rented and it’s contents well gone sadly.

Great story attached. Can’t believe you had 9 funhouses at one time!!
I may have to sell mine soon and it makes me sweat at the very thought of it.
I got a little carried away as I always do. I did have 3xAFM 3xTZ 2xMB 2xCV 3xTAF and a gold.
In the words of Rudy Oh boy’ Oh boy’ Oh Boy. Them were the golden days of cheap £300 TZs Bring em back please, everything has gone through the roof now bah!

I dont want to appear rude or aggressive but what is the point of having multiple copies of the same game?
Is it some sort of financial investment? Is it to compare them? Is it for something else?
I can see the point of having two maybe to try to make a maxi mint one out of them but 9???

Dw you don’t appear rude or aggressive just curious by the sounds of it.
Anyway Being pinball mad it was something I’d always do back in the day, when a FH was £2-300 then why not? My 1st FH cost me £1650 + Vat from some bloke who advertised in Coin Slot so it was a no brainier picking the cheapies at a fraction of the cost.
Most of them would have been scrapped anyway as the majority were hammered in the arcades and trawling around Germany in a big van was the way to go! From 2002-2005ish.
You could pick up a decent TAF for £500 which was half the price compared to UK prices. I eventually ended up with an awesome collection that cost me nothing but time and energy after I sold my duplicates.
They were bought cos I loved pinball not as an investment but it turned out that way by pure chance so I guess I was lucky.
When I was after a pin I’d set my sights on I just bought as many as I could get to make a really nice one knowing it was easy to sell the remaining ones.
The way the prices have gone the last 20yr I wish I could turn back the clock, rent a big factory unit and filled it to the brim. Wouldn’t you?
In the end I had a good friend Ian Bailey picking up pins for me until he eventually gave up the pinball scene. He was a lovely chap who remains a FB friend to this day. I bought some fabulous stuff off him and he collected quite a few for me inc finding me the FH Diamond P PF again from Germany. Ahhh find memories they were definitely the collectors golden years

Ah. I remember Ian from the old Yahoo UKPINBALL group days.

He had a column in the short lived Pins Anon magazine where he documented his trips to Europe buying pins.

Is he still into pinball?

Sadly no. He got divorced and moved away from the area and is now an avid runner amongst other things but no pinball. The last table he had was a BSD which he offered me for free if I collected but alas at the time I was too busy so I think he left it behind after selling the house or maybe passed on to someone else. He still keeps in touch via strava and FB though

I see Mr Bailey post on facebook every so often on Phil Palmers posts. Nice bloke. I had probably 15 games off him - back in the day when MB & AFM were less than £1K.

I remember paying Ian OVER £1K FOR MY FIRST CIRQUS VOLTAIRE which is one he restored. I thought I was mad. Then I got MM for £1.5K and then I knew I was loopy.

Great days really.

Really enjoyed reading this post. Good luck with the sale. Looks a great example.

Ian’s Resto’s were awesome! Like ChrisB he did a full nut & bolt and tumbled all the steel, everything looked like it came out of the factory the day you got it. The guy was a perfectionist

Ian Bailey, now there's a blast from the past - please pass on my best regards to him. Steve

Thanks for the offer but it’s not really the pin for me. Cheers anyhow. Col
