EM Bulb holder repair

Any tips for this "chore"?
I've gotten loads working by cleaning them and tweeking them till they stay on but there has to be a better way .
There are cheap in the US but not so much here + there are loads of different shape brackets etc etc

Twist the body against the mounting bracket. Turn the legs. With small pliers twist the corner of the mounting bracket where it emerges from the back of the socket. This applies pressure within the joint improving conductivity. Dremel the contact. If it's the sprung type pull the central contact out with your nail and 'fire' it back into the base of the bulb. This seems to work a lot. Replace the bulb holder.
