One of these will get the boot soon, which one would you keep? ........ Let's get the neither jokes out of the way from the get go

, most will probably say JD although it doesn't come together for me and I haven't played the DM enough to know if it's just taking up valuable space.

Difficult one to call for me, I would say Dredd is the keeper, (as well as being your name sake) just. Both are a fun game but the 2000AD theme takes it for me.

Take it that's a NO NO for the DM

& I thought the JD was lacklustre.

Don't let Stan catch you calling JD

Space is getting tight again, only just got the DM up and running after owning for some time (setup at a different location), don't really want to shift it until I've had a chance to see for myself that it's another Popey

, maybe it would be a good idea to stick it in a pub rather than sell (stay of execution) but if it’s that crap it will only serve to remind the general public why pinball disappeared.

I have owned both and enjoyed both! I did enjoy demo man the film which helped. I would still plump for JD though if pushed. Both games can have great flow and combos when set-up nicely!

Demo Man is not in the league of Popeye and the like, its a much better game just not as good as Dredd. Keeping hold and trying it in a pup is a good idea. Good luck.

I agree Demo Man is NOT in the league of Popeye !

Can we now leave the 'pipe smoking-Olive rescuing-Bluto bashing-spinach guzzler' alone, he's had enough of a kicking this week

I had DM for couple of weeks - seen everything, boring. Dull plodding music, flawed rules - go for multiball, pretty much ignore everything else, pointless waste of left side with the eyeball and dinky toy cars. How a game with so many loops, ramps, combos can ultimately be so dull is a mystery. Well its not really - the rules/software kill it.

Go on then, no more talk of Popeye (from me anyway).

Played about an hour of DM today (yes folks a whole hour...........in 2 sessions) my conclusion is that it's OK, don't mind the music, it has very nice flow and some nice shots, claw slows it down just enough for a breather (unlike JM which really does put the brakes on when using the glove).

It's not the best pin in the world but can't say that JD is much better if at all, I think the DM is decent bang for the buck, you could go and throw £5000 at a CC and still feel that it's not the best game ever, at least with the DM it's £700-£900 as a guide so an easier pill to swallow.

I don't think it's bad, definitely does not "suck more balls than a rabid thai ladyboy" not that I would know but I know a man who does

, it would probably suit an arcade rather than pub, the jury is out, those are the 2 games nearest the door followed by the Shadow, can't say that does it for me so far, on the plus side the SS is on the way, maybe that will get my boat floated.

DM sucks because everytime i go near it, i seem to get jabbed in the ribs by those giant dildo like flipper things.... Might do well in a pinball inspired porno, eh? OOoooOOOOoo:eek:

I would be interested in purchasing the DM if you decide to park it up Andy.

Take it easy,

Andrew.

Buyer collected today, he was a happy puppy

, I was sad to see it go…. bye bye DM:( , I played it for about 30 mins b4 they turned up, must admit I thought it was a decent title, if I had the space it would have stayed. It felt like a better game than the JD to me and underrated, there seemed a lot of space on the pf even with all them ramps etc which I didn’t take to but I am sure this game will be a killer when the new roms are available.

Had a couple of pm’s on ebay regarding what it sold for, for those that are interested it made a grand with no fees, it was a mintish example, way better than some of the crap I have had pass through my hands but still a whole load of bordering collector quality machine for the money, I reckon £100 would have made this a collector Q (backbox decals and two pf plastics), don’t think it will be flipped but who knows.
