Just got this from them! Lol

Yesterday
All my machines seemed so dark and grey
Incandescents have become passé
My LEDs, came yesterday

Suddenly
I'm now using half the energy
No more shadows left that I can see
My LEDs, came suddenly

Old bulbs, had to go
And I'll throw, them all away
Bright-ness, is so strong
I don't long, for yesterday

Yesterday
It was something I could barely play
Now I'll need more hours in every day
My LEDs, are here to stay

One of our incredible customers surprised us by singing this with a piano accompaniment!

Yesterday.
Bought a pin that had been led astray,
5000 Kelvins I'm ashamed to say,
Oh I feel sad, for yesterday.

Suddenly.
Shock and nausea running over me,
GI brighter than our Wembley,

Why, he, had to mod I dont know - he wouldn't say,
Now, the, translite's wrong,
It's an utter travesty....

Yesterday.
Migraine started and it's here to stay,
Flashing's bad I need to look away,
Oh I beleive, in slow decay.

Why, he, killed that art, i don't know,
I could not say.
Lighting's cold and sharp,
Next will be a colour display...

Yesterday.
Ordered lamps as an emergency,
Even though I'm told they're dark and grey,
Phil's parcel came, to save the day.

Now I beleive in better play....

Oh I beleive Osram will stay.
 
@strobey Tim I have a love/hate with LEDs - for example the FT I just picked up has been LED'd ...playfield lighting is pretty good, possibly colder than I would like but I can live with it , translite though just looks washed out.

Don't start on ColorDMDs though ! They are ace. You can see so many details that are lost with just the mono orange. I bet you watch the snooker in black and white too :p:D

Frosted lens in a sunlight or warm white colour, ideally dimmed a fair amount with a GI OCD, are absolutely fine. Don’t use any other colours in there.

Agree there’s no pressing need, but it’s very possible and can enhance the translite colours.

For sure you need a diffusing element with LED’s but even with some regular bulbs if the power is clean they can look spotty also. Of the games I own moving to LEDs on them has made a big difference in reliability, particularly Star Trek TNG and ToM.

I thought my FT backglass looked miles better with led’s, looked dead with incandescents when compared. Infact to me, mine all looked dreary until I put led’s in.
Can’t wait to do whitewater. Those lamps get bloody hot.
