Cant find any local glass cutters that will cut 5mm toughened glass is either 4mm or 6mm. So i went with the 4mm but its a bit rattly in the game. So am thinking try 6mm? will it fit?

Regards
Russell

It’ll be tighter than a ducks ****. If you have some callipers try and measure the gap in the glass channel and see if it will take it but I think you’ll struggle. I have 4mm in my Whirly and it does rattle a bit. You could try and a piece of cardboard wedges in to stop the rattle

Would a bit of draught excluder at top and bottom of the glass channels not stop the rattling of a 4mm piece of glass ?

Or card as suggested above

I put 6mm in my Funhouse, I would not recommend it. Very Very Tight gives you an uneasy feeling when taking the glass in or out.

I once got a few sheets of 6mm glass - was (at the time) £13 a sheet. Was so TIGHT in the machines it was a pain to take the glass off everytime I needed to. In the end I gave it to my pals dad to make a greenhouse out of it.

Just buy the right stuff - you will be messing around trying to find a fix with 4mm/6mm

Where can I buy the right stuff. Having a bit of trouble locating it :)

Pinball Heaven mate. I am in Brum, so next time I go up I can grab some for you.

A friend of mine goes to Bristol weekly so I may be able to get you a collection in Bristol.

Failing that I do the whole Bristol-Birmingham-Bristol trip weekly as well..

Thanks guys!

Paul! read your pm's i sent 1 the other week! :)

Be nice to meet a bristol pinhead!

I think it depends on your local glaziers, the ones near me ,do 5mm toughened no problem,Ive ordered it for pinball and arcade games in the past

If i can get the proper stuff delivered I'll go down that route :)

I've bought 5mm toughened from local specialist glaziers regularly in the past.
If you go down that route you must specify polished and bevelled edges or you will slice your fingers putting it in and out the game!

That said, if it's just one piece you need and you have someone willing to collect from Pinball Heaven for you then that would be my preferred option

Or if you're not in a hurry wait until the latest order of invisiglass to come in from @aaronhicksuk, or better still treat yourself to invisiglass.
There'll then be a glut of people with playfield glass to get rid of.
