I’ve always enjoyed the threads where members show the building of their pinsheds. My solution was to have new window put in our basement so that I could get pins in and out that way, rather than down the narrow stairs that were too tight for a modern machine. I hadn’t quite taken account of the weight of a Stargate (300lbs apparently) when that became the first pin to arrive this way. Luckily my friendly builder and his mate came over to help me. All went in smoothly and the machine fired up first time after it’s 165 mile journey.

One or two round tubes will make moving the pin though the opening a lot easier , just like how they moved them rock to Stonehenge

By the way first dips ;)

Yes I had thought of trying that, used that technique to shift a shed recently. But my builder friend just said, don’t faff about we’ll lift it. And they did!

Cab looks nice and bright.

Yes the whole machine looks lovely. I bought it almost ‘sight unseen’, the seller had sent me pictures but I didn’t really look at them just said ‘please take my money, I want it!’. So the fantastic condition was a real bonus.

Rather you than me getting it in there.

Looks like a classic example of "pay some other cÜnt to do it"!

The guy helping me has become a friend after he did the original basement conversion for me. He came back to put in the modified window access and he insisted on coming over, on a Sunday morning, to see that the system worked . Wouldn’t take any money but I paid his lad. He likes playing my machines too.

But you’re right, it’s not an ideal arrangement, but it works. Elektra went out no trouble as it was smaller and head off.

I'm thinking of the getting it back out of there, lol

Congrats on your first pin.

Yes, its not ideal but the system works. I sold my Elektra two weeks ago and we took it out via this route and it was no trouble. In part the challenge was moving such a big heavy pin as Stargate. And as someone said to me recently 'there are fewer places to get a grip on a Gottlieb.' I reckon as long as I have two fairly fit helpers I'll get it out again.

I’m so pleased you found another Stargate, i felt awful after deciding not to part with mine in the end. The playfield looks a lot better than mine. Enjoy it! Its a fantastic game x very underrated in my opinion

Thanks James, I'm hooked already. And it does look like a beauty.
