Next up we installed the replacements for the playfield plastics, these are hand painted resin based.

Some were a pain to fit.

Topper next... This was a royal pain in the ass to fit.

Not a fun experience. Still need to buy a step down converter as it operates on 110v...

In the previous elite topper I had the luck of the raised plank of wood in the middle to velcro strap the step down converter in place.

Since JJP cabs don't have that I resorted to making my own brackets.

Initial design I bodged the measurements and forgot to factor in the legs.

Small amendments and the next run went well.

Cat jumped on the bed and ruined the next one after so had to do another...

What I love most about plastics is the way they glow from the little lights inside them. Really not a fan of these dark resin cast versions. I think they make the game look terrible.

hehe, does it look odd with everything glowing but those parts not? i'm so used to plastics glowing it feels wrong them not being lit.

Hasn't been turned on yet for a play through. I'm just waiting on the IEC lead then I can turn on everything again. Once thee leads in. The games done and can go back to the owner. I need the space!

I rather like those resin plastic replacements. The driftwood look of the lane dividers is pretty cool. Could they be made with slightly translucent resin so light shines through them?

<pedant mode> I was just wondering why Dauntless has a union flag on the back? In the 18th century these ships would have been displaying the White Ensign. (/pedant mode>
