No, it doesn't work. Someone on pinside has said if I've updated the firmware on the new node board on the old code it won't work even now ive updated to the current version. Can these boards be reset?

Already tried all the different connections and a direct cable from the CPU board to Node 8 board with the same result. I also proved the RJ45 cable used to test between other working nodes. Afraid I don’t have another machine now to try in. SW left last year.

So, after several hours of trying to update the code (various USB sticks) and update failed I finally managed to update to v1.13 from Stern. And still can't find node 8 ( new node board) !!!! More investigations tomorrow night.
