My point is that all those 'signalling their virtue' by being the perfect human being would have some time in their life said something similar. I have. That's life. We're not all perfect. This does' detract from the racism aspect.

I think many of the staff in the factory are Mexican and he was implying they must be blind. That's how I read it. Don't think he's having a go at Mexicans.
