You'll need a big bloody plane. 😆 Great to hear we'll have somewhere else in central london to get a pinball fix other than Las Vegas and its barely maintained pin selection.
Does anyone know who owns The Getaway with the candy red legs and side rails that was at Pinfest? I've never seen that machine look better and it played beautifully too.
Bingo! Spot on, can't believe I missed them in that photo - wood for the trees etc.
I should now be able to finish up the repair the next time I'm at the club where Dredd is right now. Thanks a bunch @paddythegreek
@paddythegreek I'm almost done repairing this same problem (and your guide here has been a huge help!), it's mostly put back together but I've got these two short metal tubes and I have no idea where they fit! any idea?
They fit inside the main tube attached the the gear box, but then the metal...
Anybody else tried it yet? Much as I appreciate all that Pinball Arcade did over the years, this already feels so much more polished. Sharper sounds, higher detail artwork, lovely semi-translucent plastics, beautiful lighting and reflections, ball physics are good. Will take time for the...
OMG the ad under your post in TapaTalk couldn’t be more perfect @Wiredworm . ?
To be fair, Farsight got through most of the BW pins, had their shot (with arguably mixed results), and we had years to buy them if we wanted.
Now a proven competitor gets a shot. Presuming they notch the quality...
This is good news IMO - Pinball FX has all been original tables so far, but they've consistently been more polished than the Farsight games in graphics, physics, interface and lack-of-bugs. I still bought all of Pinball Arcade, but Zen Studios are the one developer I would trust to do a better...
Mostly arcade games, but one of the chaps nabbed a nice Fireball 2.
The place they visited still has a Jungle Lord back glass available in good nick though, if anyone happens to be after one (though you’d have to ask the author for the location)...
Artwork isn't bad, but I see three ramps, some drops, and zero toys, just silk screened plastic. All down to the code/rules I guess! I'll give the stream a watch to get a better idea, cheers @Sgt GrizZ !
Looking lovely, nice work so far!
I don't suppose you took a bunch of photos while you were taking it apart? If so I'd love to get hold of them - I'm not sure where my photos from my DESW dismantling went and I should finally have some time this summer to get moving again on my own DESW refurb.
Free (plus postage) repro DESW translight to the first person who asks for it. Post here then PM me your address, I'll send it your way and let you know postage cost, should only be a few quid for a poster tube.
Print is darker and not as sharp as the original, but it's free!
